13th Pusan International Film Festival
"Over the last few years, film industries from all over the world have paid their attentions on the young Romanian directors. They were at the top of the world’s interest as they won major awards at Cannes Film Festival in 2007. Refusing the tradition of the last generation and showing new style and epic structure, they became the hot topics among the critics and are expected to produce more prosperous results. Romanian New Wave screens the early works of cutting-edge directors who lead the Romanian New Wave and amazing debut films of new directors, offering an opportunity to rediscover Romanian films, which were not very familiar with the audience."
28th Annual Atlantic Film Festival selection
"In this ultra-realist Romanian short, a single mother battles with her little boy during his birthday trip to McDonald's to secure the Megatron bonus toy. Winner of the Palme D'Or at Cannes, Megatron balances heartbreak with a unstinting search for cinematic truth."
"Megatron" selected for the 25th Jerusalem Film Festival
"The Jerusalem International Film Festival is pleased to welcome the next generation of Romanian Cinema, whose humanistic films about contemporary life in post-revolutionary Romania have already achieved respect and awards around the world."
